Ameya had to face huge problems to realize her dream of becoming a woman. Ameya, a B.Com graduate, hails from Palluruthy, Kochi. Ameya is the eldest child in a family . Ameya was a feminine child from childhood. Ameya says that no one supported her at home except her father. Her brother’s stance was a very bad experience for her. Ameya also said that her brother tried to beat her physically. Ameya says that brother Atul is ashamed to talk about such a brother. If brother had supported him, he would not have had to leave home. Ameya leaves the house very mentally exhausted. But Ameya says she is very happy now. Ameya is very happy not to hide her personality but to wear the clothes she likes and live her life freely as she likes.

Ameya left home and came to the Mudra Charitable Society, which is run by the Socialist Department of the Government at Ernakulam, which works for trans women. Ameya’s friend Sanvi was already there and Ameya reaches there through Sanvi. It was when Ameya got to know more about the transgender community. Dayagayatri took Ameya as her daughter after feeling that Ameya had no one.

Ameya says that when she was in second grade, she had to face a bad experience from her neighbor. Ameya used to go to watch TV next door. Ameya, who went to watch TV as usual, had to face a tragic experience. The guy from the neighboring house used to show his private parts and approach Ameya badly. Ameya, who was only 7 years old at that time, did not even know how to react. Ameya says that she saw that person at the end of that day and never saw her again. While studying at school, Ame had to deal with various teasing from her friends, mocking her for her femininity. Ameya, like other transgenders, has faced cyberbullying. Ameya says that there has been a situation where people have even heard calls for sending messages on Facebook and not replying.

The thing that bothered Ameya the most in her life was that her family did not stand with her when there was a problem related to her personality. She should try to understand and accept her personality. Ame has to say to the father, mother and brother that if the brother has a child, that child should be understood and supported. Ameya said that even though her family does not support her, her teachers support her and even go home and speak for her.

Ameya’s surgeries are not completed. After completing all the surgeries, Ameya wants to live as a family. Although she does not currently have a life partner, Ameya has a desire to have a life partner.
